Please note: it is imperative that you arrange local housing and transportation prior to your departure—there are no housing, transportation or rehearsal facilities at The Blue Devils hall.

If you are auditioning, please make sure you have contacted the instructors of your caption to make appropriate arrangements.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

FROM OAKLAND (http://www.flyoakland.com) AIRPORT TO CONCORD:
  1. Air-BART Shuttle to Coliseum/Airport BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station. Fare is $2, ticket machines are in the airport terminal buildings. Shuttles run every 15 minutes between 6:05 a.m. and 11:35 p.m. Pick up is at the island in front of baggage claim.Info: http://www.oaklandairport.com/bart.html or 510-577-4294.
  2. Take the Richmond train to 12th St./Oakland City Center then transfer to a Bay Point/Pittsburg train. Get off at Concord North station. Fare is approximately $3.05, trains run approximately every 15 minutes. BART info: 415 922-2278 or http://www.bart.org

FROM SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT (http://www.flysfo.com) TO CONCORD:

  1. BART's SFO station is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal Main Hall.
  2. Take the Dublin/Pleasanton train to the Balboa Park station and transfer to a Bay Point/Pittsburg train. Get off at Concord North station. Fare is approximately $6.55. Trains run approximately every 15 minutes. BART info: 415 922-2278 or http://www.bart.org

FROM CONCORD NORTH BART TO THE BLUE DEVILS HALL:
For PRE-ARRANGED pick-up ONLY--there are no housing, transportation or rehearsal facilities at The Blue Devils hall

  1. Limited service on County Connection Bus #17L. Transfer from BART fare is $.75, regular fare is $1.50. Busses run every half hour weekdays only from 7a.m. t o 5 p.m. Get off at the Siemens stop in the Concord North Business Park. Walk to The Blue Devils Hall at 4065 Nelson Avenue (925 689-2918 x 0). SHUTTLE SERVICES SERVING BOTH AIRPORTS
Current listings for shuttle services are listed at http://www.flysfo.com and http://www.flyoakland.com. Fares range from $20-$50. Most require reservations, especially during holidays.

The Blue Devils have made special arrangements with the Holiday Inn Concord. The hotel is offering $79.00 a night rooms for up to 4 people in a room, for members and prospective members on audition and camp weekends. Mention you are with The Blue Devils. It is important to understand that The Blue Devils cannot take responsibility for finding you housing or employment. We will try to help you as much as possible, but no promises can be made. The Concord area is one of the fastest growing areas in Northern California, and as such, jobs are abundant. However, you will find that housing can be costly. Many members pool their resources and are then able to set up households. If you have friends or relatives in the San Francisco Bay Area, arranging permanent or temporary housing with them would certainly be to your advantage. You must be responsible for your own housing.
