B Corps - 1997

The Blue Devils Division II Drum & Bugle Corps (BDB) will carry about the same membership base as 1996, with approximate personnel of 26 brass, 21 battery, 10 auxiliary percussion, 20 color guard, and 1 Drum Major.

Percussion and Brass workshops began last fall, and placements for the season began January 4. Color Guard workshops began in January. Members are age 13-19, and they reside in California's Bay Area and Central Valley.

To date, all percussion positions are full. There is room for several more brass enthusiasts. Color Guard positions will be finalized during the April 18 weekend, which is our first full corps rehearsal following the winter guard season.

Most color guard members are involved with their high school programs, or are members of the "Out of the Blue" (National 'A') or "Beyond Blue" (Regional 'A') Blue Devils winter guards. "Out of the Blue" is a 1997 WGI Independent 'A' Finalst.

The Corps will be traveling to Orlando, Florida for the World Championships this year.
