This is to prepare for the Saturday, September 18 "Twilight Parade" in Walnut Creek. All summer '99 members are encouraged to come back for this last event! Awards Party The 1999 Awards Party is Thursday, September 23 from 6:30-8:30pm at Mountain Mike's Pizza, 5358 Clayton Road (near the Clayton Bowl). $5 per family includes pizza, dessert...plus, see the special slide show of the 1999 season! Join Blue Devils "C" New members can start with the Blue Devils this fall! The number of drum spots is limited, but we will try accommodating as many horn players and color guard members as possible. The color guard is on a different rehearsal track than the musicians during the fall and winter. E-mail mviar@bluedevils.org for rehearsal information. What is Blue Devils C ? Generally a non-competitive unit, the Blue Devils 'C' is the youngest of three drum and bugle corps sponsored by the Blue Devils Parents Association. Once considered the "cute corps" BDC now displays competency, as well! (But aren't they still cute?) Membership is comprised of students age 7-13 from Contra Costa and Solano Counties. They march in parades and field events around the Bay Area, as well as entertain at other non-marching festivals. The Blue Devils 'C' had the honor of performing for the 1996 US Olympic Synchronized Swimming Team; the San Francisco Giants; and the Special Olympians of Contra Costa County.
