Alex Collins

Alex began playing trumpet in 2003. After being introduced to the Blue Devils in 2009, he developed an admiration for the corps and dreamed of one day becoming a member of the illustrious organization.

He later went on to march with the record-setting 2014 Blue Devils as well as the inaugural Blue Devils International Corps in 2015.

After aging out, Alex earned both his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and his Master's in Trumpet Performance from West Texas A&M University.

In his free time, Alex enjoys cooking, listening to music, spending time with his wife and daughter, and supporting the Blue Devils as a proud alumnus.

Alex is currently an assistant director for Plainview High School, where he leads the Powerhouse of the Plains Marching Band in visual and high brass. He conducts the high school Blue Band in the spring and teaches beginning horn at the intermediate campus.

Alex is also active as a consultant and choreographer for local band programs in West Texas.
