USBands Summer Education Workshop at Case Western University Offers
Unprecedented Access to The Blue Devils and Bluecoats
USBands is thrilled to announce a unique educational opportunity for high school marching band students and their directors this summer. The USBands Summer Education Two-Day Workshop at Case Western University, featuring The Bluecoats and The Blue Devils, will take place on August 3rd and 4th at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio.
This two-day workshop offers an unparalleled experience for participants to engage directly with members and staff of the 21-time DCI World Champion Blue Devils, and the instructional and design team of the 2024 DCI World Champions, the Bluecoats. This unique collaboration provides insights and techniques from the very pinnacle of the marching arts activity, led by Conn Selmer Clinician Frank Troyka and a team of experienced education professionals.
The workshop will feature hands-on instructional tracks in Student Leadership, Percussion, and Colorguard, allowing students to hone their skills under the guidance of world-class educators.
Band directors are encouraged to join their students and take in the full experience.
We are thrilled to add a special highlight to this event with sessions by Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, a nationally recognized authority in music education development, who will share his expertise with attendees.
Participants will also receive a valuable bonus: every attendee will receive a ticket to DCI’s Innovations in Brass on Monday, August 4th.
Registration is now open at usbands.org/education. Group discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.
