Diablo Wind Symphony Features Saxophonist David Henderson

The Diablo Wind Symphony will present its third concert of the season on Monday, March 3, 7:30 pm, at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. The concert features the famed saxophone soloist David Henderson performing Andre Waignein’s Deux Mouvements.

The DWS will also perform Gallant Seventh March (Sousa), Four Scottish Dances (Arnold), Marche Militaire Francaise (Saint-Saens), The Irish Suite (Anderson), The Irish Washerwoman (Anderson), and El Aparecido – Paso Doble (Martin).

David Henderson received his Master’s Degree from The Julliard School of Music, is a member of the San Francisco Saxophone Quartet, performs with the San Francisco Symphony, and is the saxophone instructor for the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music. He is the soloist with bands and orchestras around the country.

The 46-member DWS is made up of outstanding high school and college musicians in the area who present four concerts a season that feature prominent guest artists.

Admission is $10 for general and $6 for students and senior citizens. Tickets will be available at the door or by calling the RCA ticket office at 925.943.7469.
